Xi Jinping is the current President of the People's Republic of China and General Secretary of the Communist Party of China. He has held this position since 2013, following the retirement of his predecessor Hu Jintao. Xi is also Chairman of the Central Military Commission and a member of the Politburo Standing Committee, China's highest decision-making body. He has sought to reform Chinese politics and economy through his signature initiatives such as "The Belt and Road" initiative, "Made in China 2025", and a comprehensive anti-corruption campaign.
